This summer I have the opportunity to be a part of a very exciting mission project in my local community with my church.    This mission trip, called the Servanthood Project, is an opportunity for local churches in our area to come together and serve the various ministries & people in our community.  During the week, I'll have an opportunity to do physical work projects, love on people in nursing homes, serve at a nearby homeless shelter & assist as a junior leader to children attending vacation bible schools and sports camps.   I'll be working alongside other students from my youth group as well as teenagers from other local churches.

I am writing you this letter for two reasons.

First, would you mind praying for me while I'm on this trip and ask that God will show me how to become a servant?

Second, the cost of this mission project is $150.   I am asking 15 people to contribute $10 to help me reach my goal.   While you may be in a position to give more, I'm really trying to have 10 people commit to praying for me during this week so $10 is all I am asking for at this time.
